Robert Rowland works as a Mechanical Engineer on the Ground Support Equipment team at Joby Aviation and serves as the lead developer of GEACS, the charging specification Joby is building to address the specific power and operational needs of eVTOL aircraft.
Robert joined Joby in October 2021 as the second hire on the GSE team, where he shaped the technical architecture now used across Joby's eVTOL fleet. His current focus is on developing interoperable charging infrastructure for electric aviation applications.
